Prelude

Hope to Carry On (Rich Mullins)

I can see Jesus hangin’ on a cross
I can see Jesus hangin’ on a cross
I can see Jesus hangin’ on a cross
He came lookin’ for the lost

(And) love has come
(And) love has come
Love has come
And He’s given me hope to carry on

I can hear Jesus sayin’ Father forgive
I can hear Jesus sayin’ Father forgive
I can hear Jesus sayin’ Father forgive
Oh what a thing He did

(And) love has come
(And) love has come
Love has come
And He’s given me hope to carry on

You know Jesus kicked open the grave
They saw Jesus back from the grave
You know Jesus kicked open the grave
We fear death no more

(And) love has come
(And) love has come
Love has come
And He’s given me hope to carry on

Opening Song

Same Power

I can see the waters raging at my feet
I can feel the breath of those surrounding me
I can hear the sound of nations rising up
We will not be overtaken
We will not be overcome

I can walk down this dark and painful road
I can face ev’ry fear of the unknown
I can hear all God’s children singing out
We will not be overtaken
We will not be overcome

The same power that rose Jesus from the grave
The same power that commands the dead to wake
Lives in us lives in us
The same power that moves mountains when He speaks
The same power that can calm a raging sea
Lives in us lives in us
He lives in us lives in us

Greater is He that is living in me
He’s conquered our enemy (oh)
No power of darkness
No weapon prevails
We stand here in victory oh

Greater is He that is living in me
He’s conquered our enemy (oh)
No power of darkness
No weapon prevails
We stand here in victory oh

The same power that rose Jesus from the grave
The same power that commands the dead to wake
Lives in us lives in us
The same power that moves mountains when He speaks
The same power that can calm a raging sea
Lives in us lives in us
He lives in us lives in us

Sermon Song

“The Strife is O’er, the Battle Done”

v.1, 4

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

The strife is o’er, the battle done;
Now is the victor’s triumph won;
Now be the song of praise begun.
Alleluia!

The pow’rs of death have done their worst,
But Christ their legions hath dispersed.
Let shouts of holy joy outburst.
Alleluia!

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Nicene Creed

I believe in one God,
the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth
and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only-begotten Son of God,
begotten of His Father before all worlds,
God of God, Light of Light,
very God of very God,
begotten, not made,
being of one substance with the Father,
by whom all things were made;
who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven
and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary
and was made man;
and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate.
He suffered and was buried.

And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures
and ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of the Father.
And He will come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead,
whose kingdom will have no end.

And I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord and giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified,
who spoke by the prophets.
And I believe in one holy Christian and apostolic Church,
I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins,
and I look for the resurrection of the dead
and the life T of the world to come. Amen.

Offering

Offertory “Let the Vineyards be Fruitful”

Let the vineyards be fruitful, Lord,
And fill to the brim our cup of blessing.
Gather a harvest from the seeds that were sown,
That we may be fed with the bread of life.
Gather the hopes and the dreams of all;
Unite them with the prayers we offer now.
Grace our table with Your presence, and give us
A foretaste of the feast to come.

Prayers of the People

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven;
give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.For Thine is the kingdom
and the power and the glory
forever and ever. Amen.

Benediction

Sending Song

“I Know that My Redeemer Lives!”

v.1-2, 4

I know that my Redeemer lives;
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, He lives, who once was dead;
He lives, my ever-living head.

He lives triumphant from the grave;
He lives eternally to save;
He lives all-glorious in the sky;
He lives exalted there on high.

He lives to grant me rich supply;
He lives to guide me with His eye;
He lives to comfort me when faint;
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.
