Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Due to the government ordered quarantine for the state of California, our doors are temporarily closed. There will be no worship services, classes, or office hours during this time.
We are not sure how long this will last. We will continue to update you via email, text, and Facebook. There is a small handful of Concordians who do not have the internet and/or texting. We will be doing our best to reach out to that group to keep them updated. Your help in doing that would be greatly appreciated as well. When you get an update and you know of someone who won’t receive it, please call them to let them know. That would help tremendously.
While the doors may be closed, our worship together is not over. We will continue to be a united church, even if we cannot be physically together. Pastor Douglas will continue his sermon series via video, which will be posted on our Facebook page every Sunday morning at 9:30 am. It will also be posted to our website.
We are working very hard to get as much as we can online so that we will not lose our sense of community or lose a part of our spiritual life. We ask that you please be patient with us as we work out all the kinks. We have never done this before, so there are big tasks at hand.
If you are on Facebook but have not yet “liked” our page, you’ll want to make sure you do that at www.facebook.com/concordiakingsburg.
Chad is working hard on our website to get us all set up for digital worship. You can check that out at www.concordiakingsburg.org.
GIVING TO THE CHURCH:
People tend to bring their wallets with them when they come to church. So what does Concordia do when people are sheltering in place? Money isn’t everything, but it is necessary in order to keep our church afloat. Simply because we are not meeting on Sunday mornings does not mean we have stopped ministering to our families. In fact, it is the opposite. So we ask you to continue to give generously to your church if you can.
You can give online through our website: go to www.concordiakingsburg.org, scroll down to the Links section, then click Online Giving. It’s safe and very simple to use. We encourage you to give in this way if you are able to do so. You can also mail it in to if you are more comfortable doing it that way:

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We love and care about you all. We are doing everything we can to protect you, ourselves, and the entire community while still bringing you the hope of Christ during this scary time. Take care of yourselves and stay well. We will be in touch as often as we can.
